Create a business plan for a cloud company that improves student life on or off campus.

The plan can focus on any aspect of college life, from improving education to solving food insecurity, campus safety, or sustainability. Think creatively!

University students bore a disproportionate level of disruption as our whole world shifted. Online learning has become to norm as we learn to live with new health and safety protocols and find alternate ways to build community.

Oracle is dedicated to supporting builders looking to improve student life in the digital age. One bright spot over the past two years is that students have increasingly discovered how Oracle Cloud Infrastructure can help them build companies that drastically improve the lives of those around them. We can’t wait to support more of these ventures.
Next Gen is proud to partner with Oracle for Startups to increase access to provide opportunities and resources to young cloud tech entrepreneurs.

Create a team with 1-4 members. Undergraduate or graduate student teams are welcome.
Create a 10-15 slide presentation deck for your proposed business plan that would leverage cloud computing to transform student lives for the better.
One submission per team.
In your presentation deck, look to answer the following questions:
  • What problem are you solving?
  • How does your solution improve student life on or off-campus?
  • How does this innovation leverage cloud computing?
  • How do you differentiate from your competition (if applicable)?
  • Who is your team behind this venture?
  • Why is now the right timing for this venture?
We encourage all participants to view the Power of Cloud Kickoff Event on Wednesday, November 10th from 1-2pm EST
